Services

A death in the family can be an upsetting and overwhelming time. Our support of loved ones through the legal and grieving process can provide help and comfort at a stressful time. It is our privilege to ensure the deceased's wishes are carried out, and their estate is properly administered in a considerate and caring way.

If someone's affairs are not in order or their estate is a little more complicated, we are able to lead you through the process for an application to the High Court in New Zealand for probate and letters of administration on intestacy (when someone dies without a will) or administering estates where a deceased held property overseas.

Estate Disputes

Unfortunately, estate disputes can arise because a family member thinks that they have not been adequately provided for in their loved one's last will and testament.

If you or your family are concerned about a dispute of a will or would like advice on how to dispute a will, then a quick chat with a trusted expert can help make the process easier. We can offer advice on how to deal with estate claims, and work with you to manage the resolution of them outside court or otherwise.

If you would like to talk us about how we can help you and your family with estate administration or estate disputes, you can contact Donna Watt, who manages the team responsible for life planning, estate administration and senior law (elder law).
