Donna is a Senior Associate and leads the teams who specialise in Elder Law, Wills and Estates.
Throughout her ten years at Gibson Sheat, Trust and Employment law have also become additional areas of expertise.
Due to the great variety of clients, you’ll find Donna based in Masterton for three days and in Wellington for the other two.

Donna embarked on her law journey back in 2009 at Victoria University, all while trying to convince her eldest son to join the legal bandwagon (spoiler alert: he didn't).
Prior to Gibson Sheat, Donna was at Housing New Zealand, where she mediated tenancy matters. She's also a big advocate for community involvement, contributing her time and energy to the Masterton Community Orchestra, Playcentre, and La Leche League.
Outside of work you’ll find Donna exploring the depths of the ocean – she's a scuba diving enthusiast, with a soft spot for wreck diving. And she's got a little partner-in-crime, her 3-year-old grandson, who's introduced her to the fascinating world of dinosaurs and insect hunting.
She's on a mission to stay active and adventurous in her "old age" (her words, not ours!). In 2022, she conquered the Milford Track and even ran her first half-marathon in 2023. Rumour has it, she's gearing up for the Routeburn Track in January 2024!
