Sam French is an Associate in our Lower Hutt office

With a background in both law and science from the University of Otago (LLB, BSc), Sam brings a unique, well-rounded perspective to his practice. This combination creates a strong foundation in legal expertise and analytical thinking, enabling Sam to tackle challenges with comprehensive insight.

Working in the legal sector since 2016, Sam initially focused on property, trusts, and wills. Since then, expanding knowledge and skills to include staff training, charity establishment, and guiding numerous clients through important milestones, from purchasing their first homes to navigating intricate legal matters.

Sam is deeply engaged in the Wellington community. He serves as:
 

  • Chair of Nuku Ora, a regional sport and recreation charity, and
  • Rainbow Wellington, a local LGBTQ+ charity.
  • Manager of a local hockey team
  • Member of the New Zealand Law Society Property Law Section
  • Is on the Trusts and Estates Committee, Wellington Branch of the Law Society.


Sam actively participates in Rainbow community events and advocates for inclusivity and supports Rainbow clients by helping them navigate legal matters and connecting them with the right expertise within our firm. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his fiancé and dog.

He is committed to making a positive impact both professionally and within the community, leveraging skills and experience to support and advocate for others.
